With KlinkVOICE®, the intralogistics specialist Klinkhammer presents on LogiMAT 2019 a mobile application for audio-visual user guidance during order picking and storage. The mobile solution with multimedia kit comprising app, smartphone, headset and scanner offers decisive cost and flexibility advantages to the customers. It can be used comfortably for pick-by-voice and put-by-voice applications.

Bad Urach: Ordered today, supplied to the customer the next morning – this promise is one of the fundamentals for the success of the compressed air and pneumatics specialist Riegler. To optimally adapt the intralogistics processes to future requirements, the logistics center of Riegler in Bad Urach has been extended by a state-of-the-art, automatic small parts warehouse in the existing building.

Nuremberg / Anhausen (08/2018) – Haus Rabenhorst commissions the Klinkhammer Group to optimize the logistics processes and to connect the central warehouse and the external warehouses with the new warehouse management software KlinkWARE®. The aim is to digitalize the processes and to administer all logistics locations in one software in order to significantly increase the transparency and efficiency in the warehouse.

Medical device manufacturer Ofa Bamberg expands and retrofits logistics center

Nuremberg/Bamberg (06/2018) – As one of the leading manufacturers of medical compression stockings, orthopedic supports and ortheses with about 600 employees and a success story extending over 90 years, Ofa pursues a clear demand: maximum comfort and attractive looks at best effect. The product design of Ofa won numerous international awards.

As of 20th of June our company name changes from "A. Klinkhammer Förderanlagen Kreative Lager- und Produktionslogistik GmbH" to "Klinkhammer Intralogistics GmbH".

The amendment is made due to our increasingly international focus and, at the same time, results in simplification. Please forward this information to the relevant office to carry out the amendment. Nuremberg / Vienna (05/2018) – After successful completion of logistics planning Klinkhammer secured a contract as general contractor to realize the warehouse automation and digital networking project for the logistics center of Spiral Reihs & Co. KG, in Austria. At the new site in Wien-Inzersdorf, around 5 km away from the current site of the tools and machinery dealer Spiral, a new administration and logistics building will be realized.

Nuremberg / Munich (04/2018) – With around 4,700 employees, TTI Inc. is one of the leading global distributors for passive, discrete and electromechanical components as well as performance, sensor and connector components. The European headquarters is in Maisach near Munich. TTI awards Klinkhammer a contract to equip the various warehouse systems of the new distribution center with uniform control technique and superset Klinkhammer warehouse management system including materials flow computer. The aim is to increase the performance of the overall system and to make the flows of material even more efficient. The integration process includes amongst others shelf storage systems, lift, autostore, shuttle and pallet storage systems as well as conveyors and 70 packaging stations.

Nuremberg / Turkey (02/2018) – Regardless of barrels and big bags or unmixed pallets with packaging material – at Sanofi’s production site in Lüleburgaz/Turkey more than 1,000 euro-pallets daily are moved over the conveyors installed in the incoming goods and shipping department. The Sanofi group, headquartered in Paris, is one of the world’s leading healthcare suppliers. According to the IMS, Institute for Healthcare Informatics, Sanofi is the fourth-largest pharmaceutical company around the world and has been renowned in the ambitious emerging markets for a long time. The expansion of the product portfolio resulted in an increasing need for new conveyor technology solutions allowing to smoothly handle pallets with a weight of up to one ton.

Nuremberg (12/2017) - On the LogiMAT exhibition, the Klinkhammer Group will present in hall 1, booth 1C46, the extension of its software portfolio in the field of WMS and materials flow control. In addition to KlinkWARE®, Klinkhammer now offers together with its partner SWAN also SAP Extended Warehouse Management to be able to supply turnkey warehouse management solutions within its SAP World.

Nuremberg (08/2017) - The Klinkhammer Group has built an automated deep freeze warehouse for temperatures down to -22°C for the company Frischdienst Walther, a food delivery wholesaler located in Kitzingen, supplying restaurants, hotels and large-scale consumers. Thanks to the tray technology used, it is now possible to store a wide variety of different package sizes in a cost-effective manner. The focus is on short distances, a minimum cooling loss and significant increase of efficiency in the warehouse through automation.

Nuremberg (07/2017) - From component supplier to intralogistics solution provider. The Klinkhammer Group today is considered one of the leading providers in Europe. In 1972, Adolf Klinkhammer founded the one-man company A. Klinkhammer in the basement of his resi-dential house. The experienced intralogistics expert has decisively influenced and shaped the change in the warehouse by providing automation solutions.

Nuremberg (05/2017) - The WKS Group is one of the leading web offset printing companies in German-speaking Europe. At the Wassenberg site, WKS realizes in cooperation with the Klinkhammer Group a new automated dispatch warehouse for magazines, catalogues and brochures. By implementing the new dispatch warehouse, the storage space will be increased considerably and the growth of the WKS Group be guaranteed by a capacity buffer.

Nuremberg (01/2017) - With KlinkVISION® the Klinkhammer Group presents a new generation of system visualization. The intuitive structure with quick views and the user-friendly design support the operating and service staff and allow a fast alarm diagnosis in the warehouse. This minimizes downtimes and maximizes the system availability. A mobile version for touch panels is available as well. Shortly, there will be available a version for smartphones.

Nuremberg/Wiesentheid – digital networking, production logistics 4.0 – these are the two slogans that will be in the spotlight of the fourth Klinkhammer Intralogistics Day (KIT). What is so special about the KIT is its focus on practice. Participants will look forward to guided tours through the recently completed logistics system of Göpfert (machines for processing corrugated board) and the logistics center of BIG (toys) with lectures giving an insight into the details of the systems. Nürnberg/Gollhofen (04/2016) - Following the successful realization and commissioning of the 1st expansion stage 2014, the Klinkhammer Group now was also contracted for the 2nd expansion stage by Frankana, one of the leading wholesalers for camping and leisure equipment. The expansion will be realized at the end of 2016 and will provide again an optimization of the processes by means of connecting intelligently the storage areas using conveyors.

Nuremberg, 09.03.2016 - The Klinkhammer-Group presents at this year's LogiMAT, in hall 1, booth C46, its new multilevel shuttle KlinCAT®. This warehouse vehicle is a high-performance hybrid system in lightweight design that combines an automatic storage/retrieval crane and a shuttle system, featuring a drive axis speed of 4 m/s and an acceleration of 2 m/s2.

Nuremberg (19.12.2015) - The Klinkhammer Group builds for Hügli, an international Swiss food company with 1.350 employees, an automated high-bay warehouse designed as a silo with 2 pre-zones, an automatic bin storage system and a refrigerated storage at the Radolfzell site. With this project, the focus is placed on the efficient connection of the warehouses to the production via conveyors and on the integration of order picking workstations including weighing and mixing for a fast production supplies. The Hügli Nahrungsmittel GmbH invests around 30 million Euros in the expansion of the Radolfzell site in Germany.

Nuremberg/Wolfsburg (23.11.2015) - Also the third KIT - Klinkhammer Intralogistik Tag (Klinkhammer Intralogistics Day) was a big success. At the Wolfsburg site of IMPERIAL Logistics International more than 40 participants had the chance to become informed about the most recent trends and technologies in intralogistics and to have a close look at the automated small-parts warehouse of IMPERIAL LOGISTICS International. One highlight of the KIT: the presentation of the new Warehouse-Management-System KlinkWARE®. 

For the third time in succession, the Klinkhammer Group organized the KIT - Klinkhammer Intralogistics Day. On November 12, 2015, more than 40 users and experts met for an intensive exchange of ideas and for visiting a just-in-sequence warehouse in live operation. "By organizing the KIT, we offer users the opportunity to become informed about the latest intralogistics trends and solutions every year", explained Frank Klinkhammer, Managing Director of the Klinkhammer Group. "This year, the automotive industry has been in the focus of interest. IMPERIAL Logistics International in Wolfsburg provided a perfect setting for watching a JIS-delivery in the automotive industry not only in theory, but also in practice". The visitors were convinced as well. "I can take home some interesting ideas and suggestions", said Dr. Jörg Heimsoth of Miele. "Especially the emergency plans, the fire protection concept and the demand for absolute availability could be experienced in a live atmosphere". Ralf-Dirk Gensch of Simba Toys underlines: "Communicating and exchanging ideas with like-minded people is always exciting. The Klinkhammer Intralogistics Day is an ideal opportunity to discuss with colleagues and to merge practice and theory."

High demands on failsafe performance in the automotive industry
After welcoming the participants and check-in, the program offered two specialist lectures. Christian Seidl, Director Business Unit Automotive at IMPERIAL Logistics International, explained the prerequisites and reasons for building a new warehouse. "As service provider for the automotive industry we moved away from the beaten track and went for an extraordinary solution. Finally, such a logistics concept entails a major investment. The requirements as to speed, reliability and failsafe performance for the JIS-delivery with cable harnesses are extremely high". The keywords here are high availability and automation. With the logistics solution realized by Klinkhammer everything of the aforementioned was achieved. Christian Seidl also emphasized the special challenges with regard to the implementation timetable - within only 10 months from ground-breaking to commissioning. During the second lecture Frank Klinkhammer outlined the details of the project and gave information on different scenarios and strategies. Besides the high degree of automation one main issue of the project is the conscious decision to forego robots. This way, sequencing per assembly line is possible and in case of a breakdown it is possible to access all containers manually.

Experiencing a JIS-logistics plant live
The first two lectures formed a perfect basis for the afternoon where the visitors were given the chance to take a guided tour round the automatic small-parts warehouse. A great experience for the participants of the KIT - Klinkhammer Intralogistics Day. Participants were given the opportunity to have a close look at the concepts and strategies in live operation. Additionally, the logistics managers of IMPERIAL Logistics International and the Klinkhammer specialists were ready to answer questions. 

The new trends in intralogistics 
After the tour, Prof. Dr. Alexander Pflaum from the Institute for Supply Chain Management of the University of Bamberg and Head of Center for Intelligent Objects ZIO at the Fraunhofer Institute gave an interesting insight into the future of intralogistics. His topic "About smart products and smart services". Smart products and cyber-physical systems will change value promises, channels to the customer, the necessary resources, cooperation and key alliances, revenue and cost structures and finally competition. "New demands on flexibility require a holistic way of thinking which will concentrate on both hardware and software", explained Prof. Dr. Pflaum.

New trends in the warehouse management software
The last point of the KIT agenda was the presentation of the new Warehouse-Management-System KlinkWARE® of the Klinkhammer Group. To begin with, Dr. Ing. Dirk Liekenbrock of the Klinkhammer Group gave a brief insight into the requirements for modern software systems in logistics. Increasing demands on the service level, additional services such as the refinement and customization of goods, more relevant product information, short-term change of the product range or a higher rate of product returns are only some key words to state here. With the new product KlinkWARE®, the company AK Warehouse Solutions - subsidiary of the Klinkhammer Group - refined and completely reorganized the already existing DC21 WMS software. At present, it is the most user-friendly warehouse management software on the market, can be used for warehouse management and material flow control, is considered as pioneer in the field of lean touchscreen operation and offers one of the most efficient, powerful interfaces in automation thanks to its up to five time faster telegram handling.

VIP tour
The thematically interesting lectures of the day were followed by an equally informative evening starting with a VIP tour through the VW production. Here, the participants could take a look behind the scenes and see how the Volkswagen "Golf" and "Tiguan" are produced.
