The term intralogistics was created by the Association of German Machine and Plant Builders in order to distinguish it from transport logistics, i.e. the transport of goods outside a company. Thus, intralogistics is defined as a material flow within a warehouse operation. It comprises storage, conveyor and order picking systems including robotics, as well as software, control technology, services, personnel and energy use. Klinkhammer covers the entire spectrum of intralogistics. From consulting to a product-neutral integration of systems and technology including system control and digital networking to the handover of the project and Service24.
1. The increasing degree of customization has an impact on all processes along the supply chain. The variety of items and the „lot size 1 picking” are becoming increasingly important in the course of the “same-day delivery requirement”. With AI-supported piece-picking robot technology, picking workstations can be fully automated and thus their performance can be increased.
2. Warehouse automation is particularly interesting for medium-sized companies. Thereby, it is important to keep an eye on the investment and the ROI. Partial automation of intralogistics can also be economical. Klinkhammer offers professional logistics planning and consulting ensuring a manufacturer-neutral view of the economically most reasonable solution.
3. Flexible, expandable intralogistics solutions which adapt to the order situation and changes in the product range are becoming increasingly important. Thereby, Klinkhammer always has the latest technologies in view. Shuttle robot systems are an intelligent combination of freely navigating transport shuttles on floor level and vertically movable vehicles within a rack. Even autonomous shuttles transporting racks are extremely flexible storage systems which are easily scalable in terms of assembly, dismantling and conversion.
The core of an automated warehouse is a software, which is modern, flexible and intuitive to use. The better the material flow control and warehouse management depicts complex intralogistics processes, the higher the performance of the system. This extends beyond conventional storage and logistics processes to supplying production. The flexible adaptability of the software, optimized processes and material flow strategies make the difference and increase the efficiency of intralogistics. KlinkWARE is a modular but customizable warehouse management software with which your warehouse management runs smoothly while all processes are centrally controlled and monitored.
