The company placed an order with Klinkhammer Intralogistics for a comprehensive retrofit of the existing automatic pallet channel warehouse and pallet conveyor technology in order to ensure fast and effective delivery of cosmetic products to customers in the future.
frei öl stands for high-quality oil-based care products for face and body, made in Germany. With an age of more than 20 years, the logistics facility was getting on in years. Not only was it becoming increasingly difficult to procure replacement parts, but the technical components were also becoming more and more prone to failure. In addition, the software was outdated and could no longer be updated. Therefore, the control components and PLC programming of the automatic pallet warehouse and the pallet conveyor technology were renewed. The material flow control and storage location management is now also equipped with the latest software generation KlinkWARE 11. By changing the software, all processes could be checked again, streamlined and new processes integrated.
In addition to replacing the PLC controls and modules, the drive technology, such as motors and frequency converters for the storage and retrieval crane, was also replaced in the entire logistics system. The travelling control cabinet of the stacker crane was completely modernised. Due to the comprehensive revision of the operating concept, the processes at all operating points could be noticeably simplified. In addition to the latest version of the warehouse management software KlinkWARE 11, the system visualisation KlinkVISION was also installed. As a result, the system's susceptibility to faults was significantly reduced by replacing susceptible components and installing new software modules. Thus, the company is once again prepared for the future.
