With his experience and expertise, he accompanied the growth and reorientation of Klinkhammer Intralogistics. The operational business and responsibility has long been in the hands of Frank Klinkhammer, who is now Managing Director together with Hagen Schumann.
Adolf Klinkhammer founded the company in the basement of his family home in Nuremberg on 9 February 1972. Initially, he was almost exclusively involved in planning, before creating a second mainstay in 1977 with the manufacture and assembly of conveyor technology components. In 1980, he moved to a new site on Wiesbadener Straße in Nuremberg. The automatic pallet flow warehouse for Gervais-Danone and the assembly line for the classic Triumph-Adler typewriter were pioneering at the time. In 1991, he was one of the first to realise a chanal warehouse for Naabtaler Milchwerke.
But Adolf Klinkhammer was not only a successful entrepreneur. He was also involved in many social projects and always had an open ear for his employees. Flat hierarchies and a trusting working atmosphere characterise the company to this day. Frank Klinkhammer: "In my father, we are not only losing a strong personality, but also a very special character. We will carry on this heritage and continue on his path."
